A few Moments in Paradise

These shots were taken last year. Just a couple of days before autumn came. Being burned out I was hardly able to control my body and I could barely walk. But those minutes watching the clouds in the sky were pure distraction, just relaxation. Now half a year later my body still bears me a grudge. There are still days where I can barely walk. But thinking of those moments in paradise is my motivation to get up each day again getting ready to fight.

Around the Clinic (again)

Burnout in fact is a nasty disease. As it grows long-term, you also need a loooong term  to get rid of it. You have to cope with several faces of this syndrome. Melancholia, exhaustion without any reserves, fear or panic are only a few of them. Since a couple of days I’m in rehab. I learned again trusting my body and got able going in for something. Today it was a walking tour to an old monastery ruin nearby. The weather wasn’t fine and the landscape (or my mind) seemed motiveless. The only thing that called my attention, however in bad light, was an old little house and the arrangement of its facade, its door and window.

The Silence of Winter

Snow lowers the ambient sound of a landscape. It changes an everyday scene into a poetry mood. It turns the sight into something untouched, something of peace, something of relaxation…

…I like winter; …sometimes.

Eight with one blow.

This shot was taken on the go out from the car. While thinking about a title “The brave little Tailor” flashed through my mind. A German fairy tale. The tailor wore a belt with a “7” on it. When people were asking about this “7” he proudly answered he was killing “7 with one blow”. He meant flies but people thought men and hence, he made himself respected. So to get socially appreciated it “only” needs a piece of self-confidence as well as some skills to sell yourself.
